Episode 69 - The quest to conserve pelagic fish and more…

In lieu of an interview guest, for this episode Craig reads three recently published articles with marine flavours. The first two articles come from the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS), University of Tasmania: Getting to know Associate Professor Sean Tracey, the Fisheries and Aquaculture Centre Head at IMAS, and his "mission" to conserve pelagic fish (tuna and billfish in particular) and their fisheries;  The "huge carbon pump" in our oceans and how tiny zooplankton are key to understanding its impacts on our climate. The third article is taken from the website of Hakai Magazine Coastal Science and Societies (Canada) - In Oregon, scientists are using craft beer aromas to lure stray salmon back to their home hatcheries.
