Episode 67: Paul Cullen (chef & major events director) – Part 2 and more 

This episode features Part 2 of Craig’s interview with Paul Cullen, internationally renowned chef and former Director of multiple major festivals in Hobart.  Paul talks of his activities after stepping back from 9 years as General Manager and Director of the Australian Wooden Boat Festival, including a Shipwright Level One course at the Wooden Boat School in Franklin and his current study for a Bachelor of Design at UTas, specialising in furniture design. He also relates the background to his two books. In the second half of the episode Craig reads two recently published articles with marine flavour:  A new research project, Resilience+, under leadership of CSIRO that aims to help Australia’s seafood industries maintain and enhance the resilience and sustainability of their supply chains; and, An Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (UTas) study that has revealed that the growth of giant kelp cannot be sustained at oceanic dissolved iron concentrations.
