Episode 42: Dr Jonny Stark (AAD) - Part 2

This episode features Part 2 of Craig's interview with Dr Jonny Stark, a marine ecologist with the Australian Antarctic Division. You will hear Jonny relate the transition from diver submersion below the ice to use of Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) and the excitement that comes with exploring sea bottom communities previously unseen by human eyes. He also talks of the planned research trips to Antarctica on his future horizon. Following the interview with Jonny, Craig reads a recent article from the website of the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies, University of Tasmania, about the "iron boost" into the Southern Ocean from the 2019 - 2020 Australian wildfires and the impact on the marine ecosystem and its carbon cycle.
