Episode 85: Dr Beth Fulton (CSIRO) - Part 2...and more.

The first half of this episode features Part 2 of Craig's interview with Dr Beth Fulton, Senior Principal Research Scientist with CSIRO Environment. Beth first talks of the importance of the handbook Adaptation of fisheries management to climate change (2020), on which she is a key author, to Tasmanian fisheries and more broadly. Among other interesting things she relates are her Deputy Leader and Adjunct Professor roles at the Centre for Marine Socioecology, University of Tasmania, and some of the history of the Centre's development. Also, following Craig's probing, Beth talks about the 'surprises' behind receiving her many international prestigious awards. The remainder of the episode is devoted to two articles with marine flavours: The first from the Australian Antarctic Program's website  on the historic first voyage of RSV Nuyina to the Mawson research station; and then, from Hakai Magazine (Canada), a story on the discovery that sexual activity within anchovy schools may carry benefits to the marine ecosystem through creating physical turbulence.
