Episode 58: Voyage of discovery to East Antarctic Margin and more…

In lieu of an interview guest, for this episode Craig reads several recently published articles with marine flavours, commencing with RV Investigator's latest research voyage of discovery, to the East Antarctic Margin. Included are two articles from Hakai Magazine Coastal Science and Societies (Canada): Discovery of a mass grave of red crabs 4,000 meters below the ocean’s surface; and the challenges and successes with satellite detection of whales. The episode finishes with two good-news local stories from the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS): International award for ecologist Professor Craig Johnson; and Antarctic researcher wins prestigious fellowship to study in the US.
