Episode 45: Dr Alexia Graba-Landry (IMAS)

Dr Alexia Graba-Landry, a Junior Research Fellow with the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS), University of Tasmania, is Craig's guest in this episode.  Alexia’s specialty areas include wild fisheries, climate change, seaweeds and trophic interactions. She relates her very interesting pathway to and through marine science, beginning with her early years growing up in Manitoba, Canada, and on to various research projects in Australia's tropical waters. Alexia's current work at IMAS includes as lead researcher in a project that has investigated the southward range extensions of three species (King George Whiting, Snapper, and Yellowtail Kingfish), which are of growing importance to Tasmania's commercial and recreational fisheries.
