This episode features interviews with Dr Madeleine Brasier,  a Junior Research Fellow with the Environmental Interactions Team at the Institute of Marine and Antarctic Studies (UTas), and with Dr Ben Arthur, Engagement Programs Coordinator for CSIRO’s Marine National Facility. Among the interesting stories you will hear include Madeleine talking about her research with Wild Ocean Tasmania on humpback whales on our island's east coast and her involvement as a volunteer rescuer at time of the pilot whale mass stranding event in September 2020. And Ben provides fascinating insights into his career path from Antarctic marine ecologist to science educator/communicator and to manager of the education programs of Australia's largest research vessel, RV Investigator.
