Episode 21: Nadia Azizabadi (From Zero To Hero)

The interview guest in this episode is Nadia Azizabadi, a person who has undergone an amazing transformation throughout her life so far. From someone who had very little interaction with the sea and other aquatic environments up until her late 20's, Nadia, who grew up in Iran, not only taught herself to swim after moving to Hobart from Malaysia but went on to establish a swim training program for other adult migrants. She also learnt to SCUBA dive to a high level of competency and qualification and now teaches others to dive. She recently completed her 300th sea dive, while diving the shipwreck "The Nord" off Tasman Peninsula. You will hear Nadia relate the interesting highs and lows of all her watery activities, including her passion for underwater hockey and underwater rugby, and also about her work as a translator/interpreter for the Persian National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) in Tasmania.
