Episode 30: Miscellaneous articles with marine flavour
Again, another episode of Vibes Under The Sea without an interview guest; this time due to the host catching COVID-19! Instead, Craig reads more articles with 'marine flavours'. The first half of this episode is devoted to completing the reading of the article from the website of Hakai Magazine of Coastal Science and Societies (Canada): Bone-Eating Worms, Super-Sized Isopods, and Other Surprises from Dumping Alligators in the Sea. It's a fascinating story of ingenious, exploratory research, based around the dumping of animal carcasses at sea and observing what deep-sea creatures devour them. In the second part of this episode Craig reads from information 'flyers' on two of Tasmania's iconic marine protected areas: Tinderbox Marine Reserve and Ninepin Point Marine Reserve.
