Episode 113: Dr Robyn Mundy (Writer and Senior Polar Guide) - Part 1

Craig's guest in this episode is Dr Robyn Mundy, who is an adventurer, novel writer, and Senior Polar Guide. For over 20 years, Robyn has worked seasonally as a guide, lecturer and zodiac driver on expedition-style tourist voyages to Antarctica, the New Zealand and Tasmanian Subantarctics, the Norwegian archipelago Svalbard and East Greenland, and also in the tropics.  A writer of fiction, she has solo authored three novels to date, all set in wild places.  Her most recent novel (published in 2021), "Cold Coast", set in the high Arctic, received a Tasmanian Literary Award (People’s Choice Award – Premier’s Prize for Fiction) in 2022. In this Part 1, Robyn relates interesting stories around all the aforementioned, and more, including her two stints with her partner as caretakers on Maatsuyker Island on Tasmania's rugged and remote south coast.
