Maisy Wallingford inherited her grandpappy's house with its unusual stained-glass kitchen window, one she seldom looks at or touches for the way it nauseates her. This day, through the window she witnesses a curious parade outside, and - fuelled by her religious fervour - she earnestly and follows the parade, believing it to be her duty.
